Perhaps seeing his father's easy victory in Iraq a little more than a decade before, President Bush decided to invade Iraq with a declared goal of weakening the Islamic terrorist machine responsible for flying two planes into the World Trade Center buildings on September 11, 2001. Vastly unprepared and based on faulty intelligence information, Bush sent troops into Iraq expecting to be received as liberators, and instead embarked on a long, hard and mismanaged war he had not prepared the country for.
