Why Every President Sucked

No. 09 · The Presidents

William Henry Harrison

1841

On March 4, 1841, Harrison took the oath of office and then proceeded to deliver, at one hour and 45 minutes, the longest inaugural address in the history of the presidency – in the cold, without a coat, hat or gloves. The cold he came down with after this speech developed into pneumonia a few weeks later, and Harrison died exactly one month into his term on April 4.

Inauguration Day

One hundred and five minutes
Isn't it ironic
That he left this way?

without a coat
without a hat
he got real cold
and that was that
