No. 07 · The Presidents
Andrew Jackson
1829-1837
Despite the Supreme Court deciding that the Georgia Cherokee did not have to move from their homeland, Jackson is quoted as saying with respect to Chief Justice John Marshall, “He made the ruling. Now let him enforce it.” Jackson then ordered the forced removal of 15,000 Cherokee to present-day Oklahoma across the infamous Trail of Tears, which killed one in four who took it.

Georgia Cherokee wanted to stay
Supreme court said that that's ok
But Andrew Jackson
He said hey chief justice
You made the ruling
Go head, enforce it
Until then, they're moving
One little, two little, 15,000
Cherokee going to Oklahoma
1 in 4 ain't gonna make it there
Andrew Jackson and a trail of tears
Andrew Jackson, all I'm asking
How'd you get your mug on the pretty little 20?
